A hidden warmth between the particles: Atmosphere Diary

The Spring, the Atmosphere, the Sun, Jamie, the Dew, the Rain and beyond

In the 'Atmosphere Diary' installation, six circular light boxes display an Atmospheric Being* that appeared on 18 June 2025 in Hampstead Heath, London.

Nearby, transparent texts in Spanish and English offer a non-linear narrative of my encounter with the non-human world on that day. It describes weather conditions, sensations, and contextual information. This bilingual composition reflects my current thought and feeling processes, which blend Spanish, my native language, with English, the language I now speak mostly after moving

to the UK.

As part of a wider project, this installation brings the outside in. It captures the essence of the sky and the atmospheric conditions on that particular day, inviting viewers to adopt a relational way of seeing. It evokes ancient sky divination, proposing a deeper connection with the non-human world.

*The artist refers to the multiple ephemeral phenomena produced by rain, dew, sunlight and wind as 'Atmospheric Beings'
