Jamie Pazmino
Jamie Pazmino is an Ecuadorian visual artist and researcher based in London. She obtained an MA in Fine Art with Distinction from Central Saint Martins in 2025, where she was nominated for the MullenLowe NOVA Awards and was the Runner-up for the inaugural Burlington Contemporary Postgraduate Writing Award x CSM.
Her artistic practice engages with ecology, decolonial thought and ecofeminism. In her work, she collaborates with ephemeral and fragile beings, positioning herself as a portal to amplify non-human perspectives. Through this, she aims to challenge linear, human-centred narratives and reimagine a multispecies future based on coexistence, care, and reciprocity.
Her practice is energised by - but not limited to - installation, performance, photography, video art, text and sculpture.
She has been selected for the II Edition of the Artist Residence Program and V Edition of the Brazil Emerging Art Prize exhibition at the Contemporary Art Center of Quito (2022), the Mattering Life: Scientist in Residence Programme at Central Saint Martins (2024), and the Shared campus: Extractive Realities and Ecological Resonances in Athens (2024).
Her work has been exhibited across Ecuador, the UK, Greece, Italy, Spain and Singapore, including Vlatka Horvat: By The Means At Hand, Croatian Pavilion at 60th International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia (2024), Performative Practices Lab 2025, at Singapore Art Week (2025), Fem/o/type: Mujeres en las prácticas contemporáneas del Bio-arte, Sala de las Escaleras, Facultad de Bellas Artes, UCLM, Spain (2024), I, Present at Hypha HQ (2024), and Common Ground at the Clock Tower, Aspropyrgos & SIC Athens (2024).
